WHAT WE DO
• Member Empowerment: We activate our members to create initiatives that positively impact their local communities.
• Inspiring Change: EMA highlights and celebrates member-driven projects to inspire others to take action.
• Occasional Collaborations: While member contributions are our focus, EMA occasionally organizes broader initiatives to unite and amplify collective efforts.
Encourage member action
Charitable giving and environmental or social action
We request our members to "Play it FWD" a minimum of once a year by volunteering their skills or time to a charitable organization.
Look out for the future
EDM Standards Project
EMA currently participates in a collaboration project between Event Safety Alliance and Entertainment Services Technology Association to create event health and safety standards.
Community build
We bring our community together to benefit the greater community
The EMA Massive Action program created charity fundraiser events, art walks, ewaste drives, beach, park, and waterway clean-ups, worked at homeless shelters, fed the poor on the streets, and collaborated on voter registration drive campaigns.
Advocate for our culture
A voice for our culture
Over the years when our culture has been threatened, EMA has shown up to share our perspective which is not always understood. EMA was present for the fight against the Rave Act of 2011 and in 2015 EMA played an instrumental role in overturning the proposed moratorium on electronic music events in L.A.
ONGOING WORK AND ACHIEVEMENTS
EMA is a global collaboration idea and action network dedicated to protecting our people, our planet, and our parties.
What we "do" is a creative and ongoing evolution between what we have done, what we are doing, and what we can do
when members feel inspired.
